Boys Health Education: Advancing Sexual Knowledge, Respect and Consent

Femme International, a small NGO that began working in Kenya less than two years ago, is one of few international organizations that focuses primarily on menstrual health and hygiene education for young women. They are now expanding to create a Boys Health Education program that teaches about sexually transmitted infections, proper male hygiene practices, male anatomy, and the importance of consent and building healthy, respectful relationships.

A Foxy Take on Sexual Reproductive Health in Canada’s Northwest Territories

Fostering Open eXpression among Youth (FOXY) is an arts-based sex-education program conceived in 2011 by Candice Lys to empower young women in Canada’s Northwest Territories. The program allows young women to explore, share and learn about sexual health, sexuality, and relationships through theatre, storytelling, and other arts.
